Got a bonus mix for you this month, now up on mixcloud, which I hope you will find an enjoyable listen. And thankfully, it has nothing to do with the actual science of String Theory which, although interesting, is entirely baffling. This won't be. It will make perfect sense. The String Theory mix came to mind when I was listening to that awesome little strings melody in the middle of Chic's 'I Want Your Love'. It's what makes that song one of my favourites. I got to thinking about other songs where strings are used really well and came up with this bunch. No doubt there's many more that could have been included, but this lot were the most prominent in my mind at the time. To set the tone and to make it a bit different I mixed in a couple of stirring string quartet performances of a couple of MJ classics, which I discovered on the web. The first piece is a rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Human Nature' by an Australian strings quartet called Stringspace. It's beautifully done and I think it makes you appreciate the original in a new way. That leads right into a rendition of Rock With You, performed by The conservtori superior de Liceu string quartet and arranged by Alex Valdes, which I think is also great. Here's the list of tracks featured after this special little lead-in. Michael Jackson - Rock With You The Sunburst Band - Why Wait For Tomorrow Jamiroquai - When You Gonna Learn Kinsman Dazz - Can't Get Enough Loleatta Holloway - Love Sensation Chic - I Want Your Love Kleeer - Open Your Mind Commodores - Sweet Love Mcfadden & Whitehead - Ain't No Stopping Us Now
